About the tile:
“The motif of an iron wagon wheel is used to decorate all 22 tiles,
an actual artifact still found in the
renovated loft I am living in. The loft, once a wagon wheel factory during
the mid 19th century, is located
in what is now the historic Lincoln Park district of Newark, NJ. Newark, once
a thriving hub of industry
in the 1800’s, turned crime ridden and desolate after the 1968 race
riots is poised for a renaissance as artists
and business people have begun to migrate to the city in recent years.”
