Ed Calhoun was born in Riverside, California, grew up in Arkansas and studied
art in Arkansas and in Paris. Calhoun works in a variety of mediums including
ceramics, oil painting, and photography.

“My artistic inspiration comes from quietly observing the perfect complexity of everyday life. I am
interested in the cohabitation of chaos and purity; the concrete versus the ephemeral, reality contrasted
against perception. From these themes, I work with a variety of media to create an emotional landscape for the viewer to survey.”
