Shiau-Peng Chen lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan. She received her B.F.A. from Taipei National
University of the Arts and M.F.A from Pratt Institute.

My work involves creating a visual experience by working with simple elements
of form, space, and color. I like to create geometric compositions influenced by music, architecture,
and concepts of formal harmony. I feel very comfortable to work on small tiles, which allow me to
explore the basic elements of form, line, and space in a very direct way.
