Oscar Villegas Paez and Norma Gutirrez Gil

Oscar Villegas Paez is an independent curator, photographer and film-maker. Currently he
works as a photography professor at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid as well as an
independent artist and curator. He has exhibited extensively all over the world and his work is
part of important private collections.
Norma Gutierrez Gil specializes in photographic transfers onto ceramics as well as in silk
painting.

About his tile:
This tile is both a technical collaboration and personal homage by Villegas and Gutierrez to a
dear friend and lifetime partner, Mr. Libardo Caro Clavijo, who passed away in November of
2003. Mr. Caro Clavijo was a journalist and writer, covering international and national political
and social issues, leading to his appointment as Senatorial Assistant in the Congress of
Colombia for Senator Armando Estrada Villa.
