Ahn used clay and copper to create tiles representing "civilization."
The dark brown color of clay in the tile represents the color of soil when
it is most fertile. Other element of the
tile, copper was known to prehistoric people and was the first metal from
which useful articles are made. Together, these two elements are the foundations
of the ancient civilizations which all of us are in debt to.
