Born in Englewood, New Jersey. In 1997 Alisa Liskin Clausen moved to Aabenraa, South
Jutland, where she works as a ceramist.

About the tile:
Stoneware, cut and glazed.
My fascination and respect for cross cultural ideas and references, that clay so willingly gives
a physical face to, is my primary drive for working in the ceramic medium at this point in time.

To express peace and global good through this project to a vast amount of cultures, I chose
well known peace icons; doves and angels, in a simple format. My hope is that in seeing
these tiles the viewer's thoughts will include hope, peace, and caring.
