by artists working collaboratively with artists and others from cultures different from their own.

Organized conference that included representatives from over 40 countries, consulates and directors of residency programs, who present their programs for American artists to work, exhibit and interact with cultures abroad.
2002-8 THE TILE PROJECT, DESTINATION: THE WORLD

Working with over 100 artists throughout the world, created 22 permanent public art installations (made out of tiles donated
by artists throughout the world). The project is accompanied by parallel public outreach and educational programming.
Sites include Sarajevo's Academy of Fine Arts, New Zealand's Porirua City's Pataka Museum, the Cultural Center of the
Philippines, New York City's Mercer Park, Spain's Ethnological Museum, Washington DC's Peace Garden, Toronto's Wallace
Emerson Park, Taipei's Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, the Fine Art Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, Istanbul's Artemis Art
Center and Beijing's KU Art Center.

- Project received first place award for a show in an alternative space from the NE Chapter of
the International Art Critics Association.
