About their collaboration, the artists write, “Our project addresses the central questions: Who are we? Where do we come from? and Where are we going? “We worked with devices that order experience; maps, graphs and charts and mathematical, musical and scientific notation.” Goering created several works on paper and a musical composition. Rodde made drawings that merge written language into visual form. The drawings also can be folded up and displayed either open or closed. Postler constructed collages of paper tubes as well as made drawings; and LaPrade Seuthe collected maps that she used as the basis for a series of paintings. These will come together at each exhibition site and be incorporated into a total installation, designed at each site by the artist responsible for that venue.
