For her presentation at TransCultural Exchange’s 2016 International Conference on Opportunities in the Arts, Sheikha Hoor Al Qasimi spoke about the Sharjah Art Foundation and its relationship to the arts community in the United Arab Emirates. Located in Sharjah, UAE, the Sharjah Art Foundation hosts activities, events, educational programs and exhibitions featuring both Arab and international artists. Since 2003, the Foundation has hosted the Sharjah Biennial (founded in 1993).1 It also organizes an annual March Meeting for global art professionals and institutions interested in the production and dissemination of art in the UAE.2
